T-Ball

What is the T-Ball Division?

  • The T-Ball Division is for players ages 4-5 and serves as an introduction to organized baseball. 

  • Emphasis is on very basic skills of throwing, catching, and hitting the ball.  

  • Players learn about the field of play, the defensive positions on the field and running the bases.  

  • All batting is done with a ball placed on a tee.  Each player has a turn to bat every inning.  Batters try to get on base and advance to home; fielders try to prevent that from happening.  

  • The elimination of pitching allows children to participate without the fear of being hit by a pitched ball.  

  • The players gain an understanding of the fundamental rules.

  • Safety and proper use of safety equipment is stressed from the very beginning and continues throughout every level of play.  

  • Players learn about teamwork with the main focus of having fun in an environment free of any competitive pressure.

  • Players can expect to be on the field two times per week with one weekday practice and a weekend game on Saturday at Clover Park in the pit.

  • Required practice and game equipment at this level includes:

  • Glove
  • Cup
  • Cleats
  • Baseball pants
  • Baseball hat
  • USA Baseball approved bat*
  • Helmet*

*Every coach is provided with league bats and helmets players are able to utilize throughout the season.  If you are in need of any other equipment, please contact [email protected] or your team manager.


Information About Team Assignments

  • Team assignments are typically focused on keeping friends together and for the purposes of having a great experience.

  • If you’re interested in putting together a team from your school, please contact [email protected]

  • The registration form will invite you to indicate practice days on which your player would not be available. The form also allows you to give us other information about team placements you might prefer. The league will look at your requests in making team assignments, but we make no promises. You may need to adjust your schedule so your player can participate on his or her assigned team.

Mandatory Team Meeting

  • Per Little League rules, your team’s manager will schedule a team meeting before practices begin. Players and parents must attend to discuss expectations for the upcoming season and review and sign codes of conduct. 

  • Uniforms will be handed out before the first game.
